According to the CDC, heart disease costs the United States nearly $240 billion each year. This includes the cost of productivity loss, healthcare services and medicines. SkySail is one CPG brand that is hoping more Americans won't get to that point. The distributor recently launched Cardiosmile in the US, a formulation by Nutrartis that contains plant sterols for heart health and cholesterol support.

“Plant sterols are these compounds that have been found in the human diet for millennia–they're not new. We normally get a few hundred milligrams of them in our diet every day, even in the Western diet, which is not typically the world's best diet. So plant sterols have actually been on the market for a very long time,” explained Sam Wiley, CEO of SkySail, the company that distributes CardioSmile.

The liquid formula contains two grams of plant sterols per sachet that can be integrated into various foods and beverages.

Cardiosmile has been substantiated by peer-reviewed scientific research and clinical trials. One pivotal study conducted at the University of Manitoba, Canada, confirmed Cardiosmile's ability to reduce LDL cholesterol by 12% and triglycerides by 14% within 28 days of daily use. Another study, published in Nutrients, demonstrated that Cardiosmile reduces waist circumference in metabolic syndrome patients, likely resulting from beneficially regulating fatty acid and cholesterol metabolism.

"Cardiosmile's innovative formula responds to the evolving needs of health-conscious individuals, offering unparalleled convenience in heart health management. Its liquid format eliminates the complexity of pill consumption, and with its neutral taste it seamlessly integrates into daily routines,” said Wiley.
